Congratulations Mark! The students have voted you their favourite scientist and most worthy of the £500 prize to communicate your science work. It has been great hearing about your work with bacteria!

Hard luck to Paul and thank you to all the other scientists who took part, you were all brilliant and each and every single one of you has contributed to the great success of this year’s event.

    Many thanks to all those who voted for me – but thanks to you all really the students for all the Qu’s and the other sci’s for the chats and the cool answers to questions – I’ve learnt a lot about astronomy in the past few weeks

    Really looking forward to going to the BAS Science Communication Conference -thank you all!

    Good luck to all the students and hope that you think about becoming scientists and perhaps biochemists!

    Well done Mark you were excellent. Have fun at the conference! Paul you were a brilliant runner up. I think after the last two weeks of answering all those questions and chatting to the kids we deserve a drink and our typing fingers definitely require a rest!!
