Question: Do You Have A Good Personality Or Are You Boring ?

Well I don’t think I’m boring – I certainly don’t sit in the library or lab all the time – in my spare time I travel a lot and am also a theatre technician and a qualified pyrotechnician

Now that’s a tricky question to answer! I guess we’d all say we had “good” personalities, as otherwise we wouldn’t be doing something like this. You tend to find that the scientists who like working with schools and the public, doing events like “I’m a scientist…”, tend to be the ones who are more outgoing and “fun” – but then I’m probably horribly biased, as no-one wants to think they are boring, do they?!
I enjoy science, but outside work I love sport (rugby and martial arts), and I hope I have a pretty normal life – I read books, listen to (rock) music, go out with friends, and try not to let my job take over my life!

I think I have a good personality. I have to be able to talk to a wide range of people, and if I’m boring they won’t want to meet me again!

Wow, what a question! Now you’ve got me worried……I guess I’m like most people. I have interests – like playing banjo, travelling abroad, F1 and making stuff so I can talk those things, my opinions on life and experiences I’ve had. I’ve also got a good few friends who seem to like hanging out with me so that’s a good sign. After a hard day at work when I might me a bit tired and grumpy – that’s probably my worst moment to be around as I’m sure my boyfriend will confirm.
