• Question: do you have any idea why that black hole formed in a school playground in China?

      That sounds like an urban myth to me – if it really had done the world would have ceased to exist.

      I think what you mean is a sink hole:

      which is because the earth gave way below the playground because the ground became unstable, perhaps via a mini earthquake or the action of water

      Whatever it is, in certainly isn’t a black hole – or else the whole planet would have been destroyed by now!

      A black hole on Earth would immediately start to shred our planet because of the incredibly strong gravity fields, so this must be some sort of geological feature I guess?

      I’ve not come across this story, can you send me a link to it?
