Pass – sorry I can’t help
Lily Asquith answered on 21 Jun 2010:
Hi. I think a turbo is more efficient, because it uses the exhaust gas that would otherwise be wasted.
the lower the waste = the higher the efficiency
Mark Roberts answered on 21 Jun 2010:
Erm both are similar as both compress air into the engine they differ in how they are powered – turbo being from exhaust and super being from mechanical.
As far as I’m aware there is little difference between the two – but for more info have a read of: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/supercharger5.htm
Laura Maliszewski answered on 22 Jun 2010:
I have no idea. Any input from the physicists?
Paul Roche answered on 24 Jun 2010:
I think they are just different names for the same thing?
