0 Question: How many molecules in a fishes eye? Asked by whiteyyy to Laura, Lily, Mark, Paul, Sarah on 22 Jun 2010 in Categories: General.
Lily Asquith answered on 21 Jun 2010:
No idea, sorry!
Mark Roberts answered on 21 Jun 2010:
Lots and lots
There are about 10 to the power of 16 molecules in a cell and then multiple cells in the fishes eye so LOTS!
Sarah Bardsley answered on 21 Jun 2010:
Pass!
Laura Maliszewski answered on 21 Jun 2010:
Lots and lots. Are you interested in any molecule in particular? There are sugars and lipids and proteins and all sorts of stuff in there.
Paul Roche answered on 22 Jun 2010:
Lots and lots, but I don’t have a fishes eye or the time to try and count them sadly – maybe one of the bio-sciences people can give you a more sensible answer?
