Question: If you dont win the money?? What do you have planned??

If I get voted out I think I will go to the gym as that usually makes me feel less grumpy.

If I don’t win the money I wont be able to go to the conference nor the BSA science festival – I’ll just stay in the lab.
I’d also be most upset at having been evicted

I have lots of things to do over the summer – we are arranging a summer school for A level students, a 2-day astronomy workshop for year 9’s, and some “Astronomy Masterclasses” for the autumn. Plus I have a whole new degree to start teaching in October! So I won’t be short of things to do – but having the money would be very useful, as it would allow me to buy equipment for the schools programmes, like new rockets and things to help explain the orbits of the planets etc.
So the money would be really useful for my schools work, but I’ve got plenty of other stuff to keep me going whatever happens.

I’d write some more begging letters to businesses, or grant proposals, asking for money to buy equipment to take into schools. And like Lily, I’d probably go to the gym and try to work off the desperate sense of loss and sadness, after I’d stopped crying and….OK, maybe not! Nobody told me there was money involved when I first heard about this event, so it would be a nice bonus to have some more cash to buy stuff, but I’m sure we’ll all just get on with what we do anyway.
