• Question: I'VE SEEN YOUR PAGE AND IT SAYS THAT YOU WILL USE YOUR MONEY ON YOUR DAUGHTER. AREN'T YOU GOING TO USE SOME FOR YOUR PROJECT OR ARE YOU ALREADY PROVIDED.

      If I were to win the money I would definitely spend some of it on my daughter because she deserves a treat. I started studying to be a physicist when she was just a baby, so her whole life has been looking at her Mum over piles of paper and the screen of a laptop, and listening to bedtime stories about atoms and black holes. She doesn’t get a lot of treats because I’ve been a skint student for 8 years.

      I noticed that some of the other scientists have said they will spend the money on a tour of their lab, so now I feel a bit bad saying that I will take Jessie to Alton Towers!

      I’m always happy to come and talk to your school about the LHC and particle physics for free 🙂 and yes, some of the money would definitely go towards the LHCsound project I am working on to try and make music out of particle collisions http://www.lhcsound.com.
