I specialized in science because when I was in school, I wasn’t very good at biology and I enjoyed the challenge of learning something complex and difficult.

I became a scientist to try and improve people’s health by finding new ways to treat diseases.

For plastic surgery, I don’t think I’d ever do it myself. I think it’s a very individual decision and I just can’t see volunteering for a serious procedure.

My family is proud that I have a good education, but doesn’t really understand what it means to be a scientist. They are glad that I do something I enjoy.

That’s a lot of questions – to answer them in order:

      Biology & environmental science
Prestige & to follow in the footsteps of my Dad (who is also a scientist)
      Understanding things
      Not for me thanks
      They are proud
