I do have an organ donor card and would be happy to have my organs used after my death. I see a benefit in my death supporting someone else’s chance to survive.
I think it’s great, and I’ve always carried a card. My brother has had both his kidneys and spleen transplanted, so if it wasn’t for organ donors he would probably have died 5 years ago.
When I’m dead, if bits of me could help other people lead better lives then I’m happy for them to have them. They probably wouldn’t want my knees or ankles though, they are all well and truly battered from years of abuse playing rugby…but my eyes still work pretty well…I think….
Yes! I am registered to donate everything if I die.
It is terribly painful to watch someone die, knowing that they could live a long and happy life if the organs they desperately needed weren’t being incinerated and buried at the rate of hundreds (?) a day
I do have a card. I think when you are dead that’s it. If someone can make use of one of your body parts in a way that dramatically improves their life then that is a fantastic thing to do.
