      That’s a good question!

      Mostly the pronunciation of words like glacier and the meaning of the word ‘pants’…

      There are a few important differences and tons of unimportant ones. The biggest differences are just cultural. UK scientists are very modest, when they announce a new finding they are very conservative in their language, like ” we think this might be important…”

      US scientists are very up front about describing their work, they use language like “This was a very exciting finding, we are going to do some cool experiments next…”

      US scientists are generally also more open to working with companies whereas in the UK scientists are a little more cautious about partnering with a company.

      These are very broad generalizations though, there are all types of scientists in both the US and the UK.
