      University College London, in a little office with three other people on the second floor. There are lots of computers and bits of paper all over the place and dusty bookshelves. There is usually at least one bike in the room. We all sit facing the four walls in chairs with wheels that spin around, and every now and again someone wheels themself over to the bin or has a little spin. Approximately every half hour one of my colleagues says a bad word because his code is not working.

      Before that I worked in CERN, where the LHC is. Above ground CERN looks like a very boring industrial estate. Below ground it is like Dr Who.
