• Question: where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

      Great question. I would love to be living somewhere with a sea view and large garden where I can grow my vegetables and maybe own some chickens. I will be there with my boyfriend and maybe a couple of kids. I would be working freelance from home in science communications. What about you?

      No idea! I find it impossible to contemplate the future, so I just take each day as it comes.

      I’m not sure, hopefully still working internationally on something related to science.

      Still a scientist, probably still teaching astronomy in university and schools, with less hair, more weight and without any kids living at home!

      In 10 years? Hopefully still doing science with my own lab (being my own boss!) probably also lecturing in a university and leading a team of people doing research, probably on how bacterial cells divide properly.
