      Legal drugs – to get better.

      Do you mean illegal drugs? People take illegal drugs for different reasons. At first they probably take them out of curiosity. Then they might take them to forget about their problems and worries for a while, or to feel more confident, or just because their friends are all doing it.
      Some drugs are quite dangerous. Crack cocaine is extremely addictive and will literally rob you of your soul. Crystal meth can wreck your lungs permanantly after just one use (!).

      Drugs as in medicines – they take them as they can help cure / provide relief the symptoms of diseases.

      Drugs as in illegal ones – well often to change their state of mind, perhaps to escape the world. To be honest there are lots of reasons
