      In short no.

I see science and religion as different things – as religion is about belief and can provide answers to things that science can’t necessarily answer (eg ehthics & spiritual qu’s)

Science on the other hand is based on evidence and measurement so is different and can’t answer the spiritual and ethical questions that religion can

So it wont replace as it’s different

I don’t think so – they are very different things, and religion requires faith or belief, rather than evidence or proof (which is what science needs). People will always want to believe in religions, Gods etc. regardless of what science tells them – I think it’s a basic human thing, people have been worshipping the sky, the Earth etc. since they could first use tools.

Why would it replace it? Science helps us understand the world around us and religion offers spiritual guidance. I don’t think they have to compete. They perform different roles and keep the world interesting!

I doubt it. Science can’t offer hope where there is no hope.
